Light

Light. This picture is actually glow-sticks, woven in and around PVC pipe in the form of a giant chair... but that's another story.

In the last physics class I will ever have, which was yesterday, we talked about light - how if one could travel at or close to the speed of light, time would slow down. There are of course many more explanations and such that I do not (and probably never will!) understand, but I find this really amazing. I never even knew that time alteration was truly possible until Mr. Harrison, our teacher, told us this. The speed of light is ALWAYS constant, but time is not. Sounds crazy! But God is SO mighty to have situated everything within our atmosphere (and outside, such as our position away from the sun) so that we could live and even thrive.

From Genesis 1 -

"Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light."
